Homo Faber 2026
Leo Wong Returns to Venice Craft Biennale
Hong Kong artist Leo Wong is honoured to return to Venice for Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light, the world’s leading contemporary craft biennial. Following his participation as the sole Hong Kong representative in 2024, Wong will join more than 400 master craftspeople from over 70 countries at the Giorgio Cini Foundation on San Giorgio Maggiore.
For the 2026 edition, Wong will present Peony Rêverie, a new white porcelain sculpture exploring the delicate interplay of light, translucency and shadow. Composed of meticulously hand-formed porcelain peonies, the work reflects his ongoing dialogue between material, nature and contemporary Eastern aesthetics.

Echoing the historic exchange between East and West initiated by Chinese porcelain’s arrival in Europe centuries ago, Peony Rêverie brings a contemporary Hong Kong perspective to an international stage—inviting viewers into a quiet, dreamlike encounter with craft, light and beauty.
