Organized by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity & Craftsmanship, Homo Faber will be held under the theme "The Journey of Life". The event will feature immersive exhibitions showcasing the work of over 400 master artisans from more than 50 countries around the world. Leo Wong is the sole artist selected to represent Hong Kong SAR in this year.
Through the exquisite, translucent and delicate porcelain flowers, the artwork expresses the philosophies and aesthetics of traditional oriental crafts, while telling a story of the poetic intertwining of botany, art, and history. Ceramics, an art form that has symbolized the character and beauty of the Far East for thousands of years, was first introduced to Europe by the Venetian explorer Marco Polo 700 years ago. Leo Wong is proud to pay tribute to the longstanding affinity and heritage between Venice and the Far East through this unique opportunity.
